CIMALP is official equipment provider of the German Ski Federation's (DSV) Instructor Teams. The DSV was founded in 1905 and is the national federation for 20 regional organizations with about 4.500 associations and about 600.000 members. The DSV represents the interests of German skiing internationally. With more than 30,000 trained and certified instructors in the disciplines of alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, snowboarding, telemark skiing and inline alpine skiing, the DSV is the largest national ski instructor organization in the world.
Over the years, the ski instructors' department has grown and developed in order to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy skiing and to keep up with the latest developments in ski equipment and technique. Today, the DSV has about 400 licensed ski schools with 4,400 ski instructors.
The DSV Ski and Snowboard Instructor School is responsible for the organization, coordination and administration of ski and snowboard instruction and the activities of the Federal Instructor Teams, which train and support A-licensed coaches, instructors from regional organizations and DSV ski instructors.
Each Federal Instructor Team is headed by a Team Leader of the respective discipline. This team leader represents the team in discussions with the management. The team leaders organize the contents of the training courses together with the various project and competence groups. In cooperation with the DSV Training Commission, these contents are broken down into detailed units in order to guarantee a harmonized training at national level by involving all regional organizations. The team leaders also consult with each other in order to develop a common approach.
The processes within the DSV Academy have been audited by TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH and successfully certified.
Thanks to CIMALP, the members of the Federal Instructor Teams of the DSV are now well geared up for winter sports, as well as for everyday life and travel. We are pleased with this partnership.
